Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's Craftshed and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.
Still in the caravan, but home soon!
This is what my crafting table looked like on Monday.
Since then I have finished my Stag and used up the remaining paint on my two concertina books that I made a few weeks ago. You can see them drying. I only wanted a hint of colour, but even so I was surprised I covered one and a half books. One of the books has caused me a lot of trouble in getting the width of the sides equal, I really must pack a scoring board next time.
I have been on a diet this month to hopefully push my diabetes diagnosis back. I have lost weight, but not having the scales I shall have to wait until we get back to find out how much. Suffice to say my clothes are more comfortable than they were. I have to have another blood test when we get back, but apparently any changes do not show for 3 months.

I guess your crafting has to be a bit more contained when you’re in the caravan? Great work on finishing up the projects! Well done on losing the weight too, it all helps health, I need to crack on as well.

Hi Angela - hope you're having a good time in the Caravan?
I look forward to seeing how the concertina books progress, and what the stag will look like when fully finished! A fun project for sure...
Well done for going on a diet on holiday. I always found it more difficult to stick to it away from home.
And crafting in the caravan is such fun. We had (still have) a caravan on Exmoor and on my days off, if hubby was working, I'd disappear for a few days to the caravan and had fun crafting. Now I live in southern Spain, so the children are using the caravan.
Your stag head has turned out beautifully.

Sounds like you've been a very good girl! well done with the diet. You say you will soon be home but your caravan looks homely too. You asked about the alcohol coloured acetate. I was at my friend's and she wanted to have a play and all we did was drip the ink onto the acetate and then drip on blending solution and that was it. I have die cut the white card and placed it on top of the acetate so it shows through. Nothing very clever I'm afraid. Have a good woyww. Hugs Angela x13x
Well done you with the diet....I really hope the results are good for you.

I commented earlier, wonder if it’s gone into the Internet black hole? Anyway, I commented on the deer’s completion and how you must have to keep everything tidy crafting in the caravan! Well done on the diet, it helps maintaining health xx

Wow, you have been busy and your stag is looking fantastic too! Well done on your diet too! It looks like you have a great scenic view while crafting from your caravan window also. Happy Woyww - Michelle #16 x
Your stag looks magnificent. Well done you; it’s hard work dieting on holiday. I pushed my pre-diabetes back with dieting, so it’s definitely worth it.
I’ve added an update to my blog to clarify the sequence of apple projects.
Sorry it wasn’t clear.
Take care and happy WOYWW

Super stags head and it's amazing how far paint goes when you just want to use it up to clean your brushes isn't it! Well done on the diet, I do hope the diabetes diagnosis is pushed back. I've not lost any weight since week 4 and now it's week 10 since I started the lifestyle diet. I'm holding out for my fasting blood test on 13th Nov to see if there are any changes other than weight (namely cholesterol) we'll see. Hugs BJ#11
I hope when you get home you find you've lost a decent amount and the blood test proves things are going in the right direction! Love the stag - and the view from your caravan window, too!! Happy WOYWW . Helen #2
I hope you manage to stabilize your diabetes - it's always a challenge. Enjoy your crafting. x x Jo 🌈
Good for you on the dieting - when i am at the caravan I think I am on holiday so tend to eat like I am - consequently the weight goes on not off.
Your crafting table looks busy but as if it is in order if you know what I mean. Love the stag and look forward to seeing the books.
Hugs, Neet 1 xx
Hope the next blood test does show a good result!
You do so well with your crafting in the caravan.
Happy WOYWW! Susan #3
Good for you for doing what you can to defeat the dreaded Diabetes. I hope you are successful! Having a limited space without ALL your crafty things can be frustrating I'm sure! You need to make a list of the things you wished you had taken with you for next time (I always forget!) Have a great week, Lindart #17
You've done well to do any crafting on holiday. The stag is lovely. I wish you all good luck for losing weight but it does sound like you're doing well. I was diagnosed with a pre-diabetic condition some 20 years ago and it's my weight that has always been the big issue. Enjoy what's left of your holiday. Elizabeth x #8
crafting in a van is not easy, I know that so fair play for doing some. Sounds like the eating plan is going well and yes, it can take a few months to show on the bloods etc but sounds like it movement in the right direction
