Gecko Galz March Challenge

This for Gecko Galz Ode to Spring March Challenge and also for the Quarterly challenge Altered canvas.  Underneath the image which is from Gecko Galz Painted Fairies Junk Journal collection, is a canvas I finished earlier this week.  You can see the texture showing through.

This one is for the Gecko Galz Christmas image challenge.  I edited the ballerina and gave her butterfly wings.

A warm welcome to Crafting With Jack and another "What's On Your Wordesk Wednesday"  My husband had a slight scare this morning when it took him a while to wake Jack.  I know how Jack feels in the morning sometimes specially when having a nice dream.

So what have been up to this past week?  We have had my MIL to stay and I didn't like to go into my craft room unless she was asleep!  Also, convinced that everybody needs something to do, my husband asked me to print some large Sudoku, that wasn't too difficult although I did have to retype the numbers as they were blurry when enlarged.  Sudoku seemed a little too much for her so I tried wordsearch.   The first one I just copied and it came out well, however, I couldn't find a second one to copy.  I ended up making up one and although the next one will be a lot easier, the first one took ages as my method was a bit clunky!  Of course MIL went home today and didn't take it with her!

I am sure my husband will have me making more!  I also have been doing a load of typing for my neighbour.

This called Stormy!  I haven't decided if it is a storm on land or under the sea!  It started off as a collage, then I decided to use up some crackle paint.  One unopened one was rock hard, the rest were very gloopy.  I loved the pearly grey, but the mustardy colour so I suddenly thought about some tiny, tiny beads I had.  I was fairly happy with the result, left it to dry and when it did the grey - which had crackled nicely, was  flaking off.  I covered it with Modge Podge (something else to use up!) and what with wordsearches haven't gone anything else to it.

I made some ephemera, feel free to download this and also to email me for a higher resolution.

I have also been playing with flowers.  The top left is the original I cut out from a picture downloaded from Rawpixel, the top right has a crackle effect from my picture Stormy.  The bottom three roses, are from a free photograph, the original colour orange.

This is for Gecko Galz Steampunk Challenge for March.

WOYWW 720

Welcome to Crafting With Jack, I was determined to make something Monday.  After finishing my carved stamp I needed something to stamp in on!  I did the back ground first,   I tried paint, then ink, but it wasn't very successful so I wiped them both off.  Then I tried the foam stamp I made, that wasn't very successful either, but I think it needed an acrylic block.  Setting those aside I made a butterfly collage page.  Which I am very happy with, I was tempted to do more more to it, but decided to make a similar one to play more with.

These are my stamps.  The carved one would have been great if I could have got it smoother, it is a little too rough!  Possible a combination of strength and technique - lack of!

My desk for today.  I won't say I am completely recovered, but still improving.  This cold keeps popping back as if to say "Still here!"

Linking up with Julia's Stamping Ground.  I have been messing around with the layout  so if things look odd - you know why x
