WOYWW 759

Wishing you all a very Merry Christmas and welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

Home from visiting my mother in law, with a back that is no better at all.  Decided not to go to the Bible group today, had the miseries for a short while, then I put all the Christmas stuff on and inspired by Mary Anne's post took some photographs to show you.

Top left is my new reindeer rocker, I bought it on a visit to a garden centre last weekend.  My daughter bought me an Advent Yankee Candle box, so I lit today's candle.

My mother made two fabulous sacks for her and my father.  Since we have the same initials she gave them to me.

On a trip out with my mother in law we stopped for a cake and coffee.  There were paintings on display - for sale on the walls.  This one wasn't near us, but the dog caught my eye.  Surely no one would paint a dog doing a poo!  To confirm my suspicions😄😄, I snapped a shot with my phone.  Yes indeedy!  the dog is doing a poo!  if you look at the couple having a picnic, they are showing their bottoms!

Sending Christmas wishes, love and hugs to all x Angela

I like your Christmassy pics, thanks for sharing! The painting made me laugh, it reminded me of the Beryl Cook artworks which featured large women acting badly, lol!
Hope you have a wonderful Christmas!

I'm late calling in cos I had a surprise customer this morning who wanted 7 memory bears making before Christmas!!! Hense I've been head down sewing all day and hope to finish them off tomorrow as I am out tonight at Sam's singing concert [He's singing a duet with a little 9 yr old little girl so will be taking my tissues ].
I'm doing a flying visit today to wish everyone a very happy Christmas. Hope to 'see' you all after the festivities.
Hugs,

Aw, how lovely to have your Mum's pressie sacks, what a treat on top of treats! Your tree looks so lovely, and I really like the poinsettias that you have dotted about, some really nice vignettes! We don't have candles, they set off some fort of allergic reaction in Mr Dunnit. It took us some years to work it out, and to be honest, although I don't miss using them, I'm still slightly miffed at not being able to, selfish and silly, huh!! I'm a bit old fashioned about it I know, but ij don't feel it necessary to inlcude social details like dogs pooing in a picture! Hope your back gives you some ease very soon, have a peaceful and happy Christmas.

Well I am surprised at the painting you snapped. How strange to paint things like that but how stranger to buy the painting! Glad it made us smile though.
Love the stockings, how lucky are you.
Have a Wonderful Christmas.

I'm a bit late getting round today as we've been to pick up a new car this afternoon. Looks like you are all ready for Christmas, loving the Christmas sacks. The painting you saw in the cafe was amusing though not one I might buy but the artist definitely has a sense of humour. Wishing you a very happy woyww Christmas. Angela x11x

Lovely Christmas items and those gift sacks are so special. The painting is so true to life but not sure I would want one on my wall.😀 All the best for Christmas and 2024. I do hope it's a healthy one and your back improves. x x Jo

Did not know you collected rocking horses! The ones you have shown are lovely. My DiL was gifted a candle advent calender so we have been treated to lovely scents every day through December - rather nice!! There is a bit of cleavage on show in that pic as well - wonder what they were thinking!! Merry Christmas, love n hugs Cindyxx #10

Oh what lovely collages of your decorations, didn't realise you were into rockers too (like Elizabeth). How lovely to get a candle advent calendar. Oh my life the painting is a shocker now you have brought my attention to the 2 things!!! Our church is only having a carol service 4-5pm Christmas Eve so I'm going to the usual morning service at my old church so not midnight at all. Hope the back sorts itself out, mine is still OK one day, do too much and then bad the next, right pickle. Have a great Christmastime Hugs BJ#17
