WOYWW 723

 A warm welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Wednesday zoomed round again, the bank holiday throwing everyone out no doubt -or is that just me!   I have had several ideas for the WOYWW Anniversary ATC’s.  Including a digital design - I do love to design on my laptop. Somehow, even though the hours you spend designing can be as numerous as physical creations, digital designing is often seen as second best or even frowned upon in challenges.  I think it’s because people who don’t do digital design seem to think it’s simply a case of printing something out.  One of the advantages of digital design - if you save as you work - you can go back to an earlier stage if you feel you have gone “wrong”.  Of course there have been a couple of times when I have ignored that “rule” only to have my lap shut down because I hadn’t noticed it had become unconnected.  Totally lost work that way!

Mary Anne and I have been enjoying playing with vintage images.  Once Pinterest detects an interest it plagues your inbox with all sorts of goodies for perusal.  I keep saying to myself “no more”, but my self does not listen - doesn’t want to miss out!

You may remember the plants on the left from last summer.  The bowl on the right is only slightly bigger and is all I have left of trying to grow these "easy to grow" plants.

I have been thinking about getting one of these for a while.  I am hoping it will be useful.

Leaving you with a poem from The Poster Girl:

He left a daughter in the streets to live;
Her lithesome form by day and night we see.
Clad in grand gowns that artist lovers give;
Enticingly she smiles at you and me.

In many moods she waywardly delights
The passing moments of an idle hour.
Her name, The Poster Girl; the world she lights,
Her home, the hoardings and her foe, the shower.

Going to link up at Julia's Stamping Ground and then I am off to meet my sister for a coffee, so I will be around later.

Digital design seems to me a lot harder than physical design Angela but then I don't have a clue with the software. Hope you find the new purchase useful. Great when you need a sentiment you don't have in your stash. Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah #11

I have Dymo tape envy!! I loved using those to label everything I possessed when I was a lass and would happily have one again now for all sorts of things, hope you enjoy using yours! How fab that you and Mary Anne have been digitally crafting together, great fun!

I have a dymo tape gun but was frustrated when the labels refused to stick where I want them...I hope you have more luck than me.

I do like the idea of you and Mary Anne having transatlantic design sessions. I bought ‘self sowing wildflower seeds’ last year as well; they disappeared without trace.
The poem is excellent.
Take care and happy WOYWW

I played with digital design for awhile years ago, and it is very challenging. But I prefer the hands on with stamps and journaling. I know all about Pinterest, it has gotten worse over the years. Nowadays it's hard to find something new because they are only sending you things they know you are interested in! But I still go to it everyday...Have a great week, Lindart #20

I think if you are used to Digital designs it might be easier but personaly I don't think it is at all but what you do is brilliant. Hope you find the Dymo useful. Wishing you a very happy belated woyww, Angela x7x

Hi there Angela!! Yes you are right, the minute you express an interest you are inundated with similar things. (I'm sure sometimes you only have to SAY it). I certainly don't think digital crafting is easier, but what for me is different is the tactile part of a project if that makes sense. Thanks for your earlier visit (another one who's already started their ATCs, I feel positively tardy). Have a lovely week, love n hugs Cindy xx #9

I worked digital (as a job) and you are so right: it isn't that easy at all! I have a Dymo but don't use it much - still, it's a wonderful tool. Have a great day, hug from Holland. Marit #12

OOh not here Missus…I don’t do digi because I can’t, down time is for my cutting and sticking, it has to be one or the other and I’m scared that nothing else would be done if I ventured into a new field!!…but I don’t consider it cheating or easy by any means, in fact, probably an un-master-able mystery to me! I bought a Dymo and a bunch of coloured tapes a few years ago. Used the tapes in scrapbooking and labelling and didn’t replace them and am ashamed to say that I can’t go straight to the machine now, no idea where it is.interesting about the succulents that are ‘easy to grow’. My sis has a succulent ‘wall’ made from an old pallets and a lot of gritty bark. Admired it for years, it’s on the wall of the house facing her patio. Turns out they’re plastic and she puts them out in the spring and pulls them into a shoebox in the garage over winter so they don’t discolour. It’s a road I’m tempted to follow!

Good morning, Angela

Be patient with those cacti. They may surprise you. Have you researched to see if you're giving them the proper care?
Yeah, I'm not a digi fan. I have played with Canva for my vision boards. I have too many toys to add digis to the mix LOL

Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #17
