It's Wednesday! Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing. For me I have been working my socks off sorting out my room.
It may not look a great different to last week, but I have been opening boxes and sorting them out and also making some folders like Mary Anne’s lovely ones here. I was going to buy the page pockets, but they seemed a bit expensive whereas the A4 ones are as cheap as chips (not that chips are cheap any more 😊). The main idea was get all my collage bits together and making searching simpler. To give you some idea of my organizational skills, I had “words” in three different places. I ended up filling 3 folders although the bottom one is A4 pockets.
We have my lovely mother in law with us and after a visit to the hairdresser, she lost her hearing. I spent yesterday morning on the telephone trying to find someone to check her ear for wax. The doctor said they couldn’t see her as a temporary resident, the hospital said the same, other places had appointments for 2 and 3 weeks time. Eventually I got an appointment for Tuesday next week. It is so frustrating for her not being able to hear and for my husband!
We have two new fish in the pond, they are still hiding so I can’t show you. Somebody local was giving away pond fish, I telephoned asking if they were about 2 inches, and we went round to collect them. They turned out be Koi and more like 5 inches. Well my sister has a large pond so I thought she would have them, but no my husband wanted to keep them.
As a temporary cover for the container the chap gave me this book, which he didn't want:

I'm on a roll this morning. I've done the wedding dress and bridesmaid's dress plus shortened another dress and now have time to blog before the next customer arrives.
Well done on the reorganising. I hope all goes well in getting your MIL's hearing sorted out.
Hugs,

Lots going on there. I find fish ponds very interesting. How do they manage in the winter? We get so cold here, I don't think it would ever do.

I am impressed by the tidying. You certainly have been busy but I know you seem to be working like crazy with little to show for it. It gets there eventually.
Love the fishy story.
Also impressed with Temu, I imagined a load of old junk but I have had a couple of dresses from them and been pleasantly surprised. Perfect for caravan holidays.
Take care, Hugs, Neet 7 xx
We've just checked in at the hotel at Matlock but arrived early so went up to the Heights of Abraham and down one of the mines. We have a while before dinner so thought I'd catch up with some of the desks. Before I forget, yes the clay is air dry. I've been looking at Temu but couldn't decide if they were okay to use as everything looks so cheap. Maybe I'll look again. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x12x
Ohhhh my giddy aunt look at your new goodies from Temu Angela 🤩 despite being mostly stickers 🥰😍 You've tempted me toooo check them out 🙃😘 looooooving both yours and Mary Anne's folders, fabulous idea to keep everything seperate but together ❤️ Though not such good news about your MIL, roll on Tuesday for her,I hope it works 🙏🤞your post isn't over long 🤗 Sending much love and hugs Tracy #13xxx
You have been busy with those folders. I really like Mary Anne's. Mine use old file folders and cut up clear inserts.
My grandmother made a Sunbonnet Sue quilt when I was six. She made it from leftover fabric from dresses she made me when I was in Kindergarten. I love the lobster, the fish, the music staff, and the artist's palette. I'm not sure you would want to send this to the states, but I would LOVE this book.
I keep hearing about Temu and am tempted to see what they have to offer. Happy WOYWW from # 1.
I hope your MIL hearing can be helped soon. You've had a good old sort out - in time for your Temu goodies! Hope your new fish come out of hiding soon. happy WOYWW Helen #2
It's always satisfying to get things in order isn't it. I wish the tidy fairy would do a good job on my room.🤣 x x Jo
I love a good tidy up and sort out too - those folders look great and I bet it’ll be so much easier for you to find stuff from now on! Fish adapt quite well don’t they? I have five in my raised pond and they seem happy enough, even when the greenfinches sit on the pond plants and drink the water! I haven’t seen Temu at all and am staying away, I have enough stuff!

Happy Belated WOYWW. I love a good tidy up. Still finding stash that I don't use, which is either being sold or going to charity shops. More and more I realise that I don't need much to be creative, and I always prefer the digital side of design. Ali x #19
Good job with the organizing and tidying! I bought some stencils from Temu a few weeks ago, and while I waiting for them I was inundated with messages from them, it was so annoying! As soon as I got my stencils I unsubscribed from them. That's a nice little haul you got there there though! Lindart #22
I've so managed to avoid Temu up to now, but did raid Hobbycraft as you've seen. Most of the stuff was for the painting course, paints, 2" brush and trays. The rest for ME. ULEZ stands for Ultra Low Emissions Zone. It affects our neighbour as her hospital is just over the border. In fact our hospital trust is divided in and out of the zone, right pickle for some. Loving the fodder folders, really ought to make myself some.. Desk looks lovely and tidy too. Hugs BJ#6
Good morning, Angela
yay for koi! I always wanted a pond but at my age now, I'm glad I didn't put one in. That Sun Bonnet Sue book looks interesting! I love my ephemera books, though they do need stitched.
Creative Blessings! ~Kelly #21
