It's Wednesday! Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.
The image was from Gecko Galz, free for the steampunk challenge, I decided she was a steampunk mermaid! The fish were altered from a free image and the background is mine. I have done tree more Gecko Galz images here, here, and here
This is the journal I mentioned last week. I have almost filled it using the last of the geletos. Since the geletos are quite waxy I added a layer of light gesso which activates the colour and pulled off a print. I just thought I would try it. The ones off the pages were very hit and miss and a couple ripped until I worked out the amount of gesso to water. The ones off the book pages that I had also used the geletos on were better, possibly due to the darker colour. Some of the pages came out of the journal - got too wet perhaps?
It was our 49th anniversary Monday and my darling husband bought me two bouquets!!

Congratulations on 49th anniversary - wow that's a long time. Love your steampunk mermaid, she is so cool. I must be tired, I read and re-read your bit about prints but can't get my head round it!! I do swap my plates (when I remember) but for my Gemini I have two plates taped together (x2) as recommended by Jennifer McGuire and it has really worked for me with regard to warping (which gemini are notorious for). If you haven't heard of it and have a gemini I can find a link for you. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx #13
Happy belated 49th, Angela. You have a wonderful husband to get you TWO lovely sets of flowers.
That's a great steampunk page. I can see her being under the sea. Good luck with the challenge. Happy WOYWW from # 1.
Happy anniversary. Don't the years just fly by. We celebrate our Golden next year too. x x Jo

Love that girl, whether she is steampunk or not doesn't matter, mermaid or not doesn't matter, she is beautiful and you have chosen well for your page. It's lovely!

Happy 49th anniversary! This year will be our 39th, and I thought that was a long time! When you talk about gelatos, do you mean gelli plates? I'm a little confused. but the prints are great! Lovely little journal! That steampunk girl definately wanted to be a mermaid! Have a great week, peace, love and light, Lindart #20
Congratulations Angela, on your 49th anniversary! Definitel a two bouquet achievement! I'm liking the pulls from the pages, they will be most useful. I'm very heavy handed with gesso so am admiring that you worked out the water to gesso ratio without any real disaster. Your gecko gala picture is f lovely, I love the mermaid inference, she really does look as if we're viewing her in a tank!
Congrats on your anniversary. Thanks for visiting my desk already, running a bit late this week with return
