WOYWW 734

A warm welcome to Crafting With Jack and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  What is on my workdesk?  Absolutely nothing!  We have moved on today and left behind my wonderful niece and her family.  Last week I spent a few days in her studio making my first Powertex mixed media piece.

I came home feeling very happy only to have the bubble burst because my husband doesn't like it!  My niece made the shells and anchor with her moulds. The seahorse on the right is rice paper.  The seahorse on the left and the large shell were stencilled.  I used several different fabrics and I shall now be on the hunt for more fabric pieces.  I really did enjoy the time with my niece.

I haven't made any more ICADs so I am a week behind, but I am sure I will catch up this week.  There have been several free taster sessions this past week and I have watched quite a few.

Linking up at Julia's Stamping Ground and looking forward to visiting x

I like the seahorse too and the fact that you enjoyed making it with your niece is the best part anyway!

I think Powertex is a really interesting medium but I've never really had a chance to get to grips with it. Ah well, if you like it that's all that matters, guess everyone is entitled to their opinion!! Great that you had some nice creative time with your neice. Have a good week, love n hugs Cindyxx #12

Don't let ONE man's thinking bring you down, remember the fun and laughter you had creating it . . . I don't like Picasso's paintings and I'm sure there were lots of other critics but I'm glad he didn't care enough to stop!!
Have a good week and hope you find some suitable fabrics because Powertex is good and I like yours very much.

I think it's beautiful. I've heard of Powertex, but never seen it or exactly how it is used. And of curse, you had lots of fun with your niece, too.

Both Tasters are now gone and I never even watched a single one that Tam and company out out. I don't draw, so I am not sure why I sign up every year for her freebies. Happy WOYWW from #1.

Hi Angela, love your Powertex piece. I have the products but not used them for a while. It is fun to do but can be rather messy but you know what, we don't care and the finished piece look great. Wishing you a very happy woyww, Angela x9x.

Men really do not always understand what we do and I think you will find lots of people LOVE the piece you made with your niece. I am just envious as I have not made anything yet with Powertex.
Yes it was my address - I did not reply because I as not sure who it was from, if you had put WOYWW I would have realised, sorry.

Hi. Thanks for popping by. I like your Powertex piece! We can't all like the same thing which is good. I think being creative with your niece must have been such fun! Take care. Anne x 11

You can't please everybody can you! It doesn't matter at all if your DH doesn't like it, for me these things are all about the pleasure had in the making of it. I agree it helps if it's liked, but certainly don't be put off by one opinion! More likely he just doesn't get it, mine doesn't really, so to be honest, I don't very often show him!! Glad you liked the powertex too, I can't get into it at all, I think my creativity is completely flummoxed by the possibilities of proper dimension!!

Well what do husbands know anyways! I certainly love it, got me with the WOW factor when I loaded your page. I asked mine what he thought of my new denim look skirt and he said it was very "utilitarian!" With that and my "immense weight" when I sit on his lap, I'm learning not to value his opinions! Anyway you piece is beautiful and full of underwater mystery and depth, love the shell detail. Hugs BJ#13
