Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's Craftshed and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.
Once again, no new crafting to show, I was planning to go into my craft room yesterday, but instead helped my husband with one of the fish ponds. My job was fairly easy, I sat on a chair while my husband poured buckets of water through a net to catch the fish.
When my daughter said the pond was getting very green I ordered a product from Amazon. Unfortunately, she didn't read the instructions and just poured the liquid into the pond without mixing with water first. So we decided to change the water.
While we were away the two Koi fish died and the pond apparently smelt awful, so my daughter and grandson emptied the pond.

Different but very interesting! We have one small pond with only four fish now (lost one recently) and it’s amazing how the water greens up almost over night sometimes. It was a good job done and the fish will be happy for some time now!

We had a pond in our garden in the UK. It was full of wild life - we did a count when we emptied it as it was getting very murky! We loved it - but were always worried when the heron came and was very interested. The new owners when we left were going to fill it in - how sad!
Happy WOYWW! Susan #6
Quick visits today as I am still feeling pretty lousy. Desk visiting cheers me up bit at least! Stay safe and Happy WOYWW. Sarah
shame about losing fish, but hope the newly filled ponds will be ok! I didn't realise you had 4! great post today. Happy WOYWW Helen #3
Me again. It does sound like vertigo or BPPV (Benign Positional Paroxysmal Vertigo, it’s very common) Looking up or down can trigger it, there are exercises you can do, Brandt Doroffnand the Epley manoeuvre, they get the bits of calcium that are in the wrong part of your inner ear back out. Good luck, it’s not life threatening JT my goodness, it makes you feel grim.

Hi Angela, the crabs are going to be part of another journal page which you should see next week. The Green water story made me smile. We don't like it but the fish do and it's a sign of a healthy pond. Bet you've got a lot of sun shining over the pond. We've had green pond weed on the fountains but not in the water as we have a UV light that stops it. We have Koi, some are over twenty years old but they need a lot of water and good flitration and oxygen or they die quickly. Hope you don't have anymore problems. Happy woyww, hugs Angela x9x
