WOYWW 850

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's Craftshed and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

Once again there has been very little crafting going on.  I had a seven hour wait in A&E, to discover my heart is okay(ish); my brain is okay, diagnosis vertigo!  Since the pharmacy had closed by the time I left the hosptal, I had another hours wait for the prescription the following morning.

Our friends have come to stay today, so probably not much crafting this week.  My friend always brings me a bag of goodies, that she has found in charity shops ( her favourite past time!).  Today she bought me a new mug; a 12 x 12 scrapbook paper pad, a little stamp set and a beautiful handmade journal.  She is so special to bring me gifts.

The paper is quite pale, but I think you can see the designs. My friend fell and broke her shoulder a few months ago, and getting on the train she fell, bruised, but nothing broken,  She said the Railway staff were wonderful, even upgraded them to first class.  I think she will develop a real shiner in the morning.

I have a hospital procedure for Wednesday morning, a new method of taking cells from the oesophagus, which involves swallowing a tablet which is actually a sponge.  I  hope I will be brave.

OK, so you KNOW how I hate commenting when I have to use Google to do so, but what is up with the WOYWW ladies?? You AND LLJ both with vertigo? Crikey. Glad to hear your heart is OK-ish (mine too :D) and sorry to hear about your friend and her shoulder. Great service from the Railway staff, tho'. Sending your brave vibes for the cell collection and hope it will be all good news after the fact. Love the beautiful papers. It'll give you something fun to focus on after such a trying time. Be steady :) No falling over! Been there, done that for sure. Hugs and be well and Happy (finally a knitting day!) WOYWW!

Well, I sympathise fully with you, vertigo isn’t fun. I know it isn’t life threatening or anything but it is so debilitating, do try the Epley manoeuvre, it really does help, but maybe wait until your friends have gone as it makes you worse for a while. Your poor friend, sorry she fell, the railway staff sounded so considerate though. That’s a lovely bit of stash you’ve got, enjoy xx
Hugs LLJ 3 xx

Oh vertigo, poor you, I'm really not sure there's anything worse, I've seen Jan suffer for years. I had it briefly while my brain caught up with my lack of ear on the right after the tumour removal, but it was a fix, doesnt recur at all, so I only had to put up with it for a while. And then your friend presenting with bruises too, I hope your days together are much less dramatic! That journal she's brought for you is just exquisite, I can see you'll do a lot with that! As it's now Wednesday aftermoon, I'm going to be unsurprised thst you were brave- and even if you weren't, the staff don't mind, they know what's going on, us patients really don't ! Hope it's over and you can all have a relaxing evening.xx

Best laid plans and all, now our son's moving flats the day after my operation and will be coming to stay with us for the interim from 4th Oct, so it's all go here helping him arrange things....Oops just realised I didn't reply to your message about the hospital visit on messenger - I was at badminton when I received it and someone was talking to me and sorry didn't get back to it. Hope you are feeling a bit better now and your friends visit has cheered you up, especially that gorgeous journal, advent all wrapped up there! I think I'd need to be more than brave for your procedure, probably prefer having my hand cut open (oh I am having just that in a few weeks time LOL). Hugs BJ#9

Hi Angela, in brief re query on my blog the stamp says "thou ARE the God of my salvation" instead of .."Thou ART the God of my salvation. " I'd used it often before I saw it too. 😉
Praying the procedure went well and bruises aren't dramatic and vertigo passes. God be with you in all your ailments. Lovely goodies 😍
Prayer hugs, Shaz in Oz.x 🙏🏻 🤗
