A huge thank you to Jan and Lyn for sending me these WOYWW 17 cards. I was delighted to to receive them. We had gone back home for our granddaughter’s 18th birthday and went back to the caravan the next morning.
Temu do sell some rubbish! I ordered what I thought were small strips of paper with toadstool images as well as flower ones too. They are actually segments of toadstools and flowers, some I could not see myself using at all and I was going to bin them. Instead I stuck them down and used Posca paint pens and acrylics to create the above. I cut up anything red or make toadstool tops. I used pencil crayons to create shadows on the stalks. Still more to do and I am not sure what the end result will be, but I like it so far. Which is not what I said half an hour before this stage.
Two pages I did using up some things.
And finally some pages in my petite journal.

I agree with the Temu comment so try to avoid them as much as possible. Got some iffy AI printed slightly less than 12"x12" scrapbook papers so not great at all however love what you have done with the mushrooms so far thought that BEFORE reading what you said. Aw Diary of an Edwardian Lady - takes me back to my youth as I had a diary on that theme. Love the petite journal pages - super. Hugs Bj#2
shame the items weren't what you expected, but glad you were able to use some anyway. you have some great pages this week. Helen #1
Well you rescued those Temu casualties really brilliantly and I’m glad you liked the result! I love those big bold daisies a lot, definitely my style xx
Hugs LLJ 3 xx
Wow, you've been busy!
I also agree with you about Temu. And they steal other people's art as well. They have stolen my favourite stencil artist's stencil designs, I see them all the time on Temu ads😠 Good save with those mushrooms! Have a wonderful week, Lindart #11❤️
Hi Linda, I must have been lucky so far as I've had some good stuff from Temu. I always read the reviews before buying anything from them. Loving your journal pages and hope you have a happy belated woyww, Angela x10x
Sorry Angela, it's late and I wasn't thinking Lol! I know you're not Linda! x
Love what you have done with the mushrooms Angela - great save. Great pages. Stay cool and happy WOYWW. Sarah
Hi again Angela. I saw your question about Temu. I have ordered lots of dies, stencils and papers. I try to buy from UK companies if I can and it was when searching for a die and not being able to find it that some ladies at the craft club mentioned Temu. The company had the die that I was looking for and apart from it arriving without the packaging it was exactly the same and cuts perfectly. Most of the dies are made in China and then transfered to America for packing and then to the UK for sale which obviously makes them much more expensive. On occasions the companies don't need all the products and the left-overs are sold by companies like Temu. I have noticed that sometimes there is a limited amount available which probably explains it. I can understand why some people might not want to buy from them though. I hope you have a lovely weekend, hugs Angela xXx
Beautiful pages. I love the last page.
