Had an overnight stay in A&E.  Heart okay, but blood pressure wouldn’t come down so now on Bisoprolol.  Strange thing was that I took it when we got back and it was back to normal.  Pain probably due to costochondritis (arthritis of the rib cage)

Two pages in my Scripture book

I have been trying out a pack of Sharpie water based markers.
Keeping it short today x

We are at the Last site before we go home.  Definitely cooler yesterday and today.  No complaints there.

My Scripture verses.     I wanted to decorate the pages of this book to write Scripture verses in.  My image collection has grown unwieldy and it seemed a good opportunity to use some up.  I do like layered ephemera so for several pages I made layered clusters.  I think I am about 18 pages ahead of these two so far, but I did enjoy doing them.

I did some more to this page.  As I ran out of green pencil I used acrylic paint on some of the leaves as I didn’t like my alternative green which was underneath.  Unfortunately this has started flaking off - lesson learnt!

I used a green ink pen to colour these leaves.  I haven’t added anything to this page apart from colouring pencil and ink pen.

I am not sure if I bought this for me or as a present, it was from The Range ages ago.  Anyway, when my great nieces came over when we were based near to my niece.  I gave them most of the animal ones to colour in and a few days ago decided to have a go myself.  It didn’t strike me before, but these are practically complete sketches rather than line drawings.  I did the doves first and was pleased with them, when I came to do the roses however, it was much harder to get the colour to show.  I use Crayola pencil crayons, not the best, but a good quality nonetheless.  I don’t know how many layers I used before I got the colour density I was after. (Picture below) Then I used Vaseline, something I had not tried before.  The comparison is clearer in real life, but the colour is more vibrant in the second picture.

I then decided to use a white acrylic paint over the next page to make the lines fade.  Gesso would have been better, but I probably would have still got brush marks.  I did actually like the brush marks on the leaves, I used sandpaper to make the mug a little smoother.  However, the only suitable green kept breaking, so very quickly went from complete pencil to stump.  I did try mixing in the other greens, but they didn’t look right, so I have started using acrylic paint.

Maybe I will do the next one in another medium entirely!

I just realized I have not put my Apple Watch on.  It’s no wonder I don’t reach my fitness targets!

After no internet signal at the two last sites, this site has it..yay!

I am sitting by a small lake this morning at our latest stop.  The beautiful view is slightly spoiled by the knowledge that the lake is very low and the fish are like the farmers in desperate need of rain.  We arrived yesterday.    Before every journey I pray that God will grant us a safe journey.  On our way here we one of the caravan  tyres had a puncture.  My husband pulled off the road as soon as he could and put the spare on, but he said it could have been a lot worse.

Still doing my Scripture pages, but this post is a bit thin on pictures!
