Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's Craftshed and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.
I had a great afternoon yesterday, a belated birthday present from my sister, lunch and painting a piece of pottery, which I won’t get back for two weeks, I think they only set the Kiln up when there are enough pieces.
That’s not the only arty fun I have had this past week. I watched a tutorial by Helen Wells which involved painting a sheet of a jug and flowers and then using the ideas on a second sheet. I rounded up some jugs and sketched 3 different ones. Helen’s were more abstract. But I was happy with mine.
I did several pages of my Revelation study and decided to add inset pages so I did some collage on them. The back of the book still has the flap, ready to add on more pages. which I think I will need and then I can put a cover on.
My delivery from Temu arrived, several stencils, some black and white washi tape. And several pairs of gloves, some chunky ones which I ordered for several people, only to find I was one pair short! So I need to make another order. The grey gloves, my daughter and I wear practically all the time, they stop my hands hurting. Amazon sell exactly the same thing, but they are more expensive!

I have some of those gloves, they’re great aren’t they and really help arthritic thumb joints etc. The Temu order sounds like you’ve got a lot of crafting in mind, have fun! And the jugs are great, both painted and drawn xx

I laughed at your two voices...I have one like yours too :-) You seem to have bought lots of fab stash. I have fingerless gloves too...my hands get painful if they get cold.

Me again! I’ve tried to email you a message via your contact form re the mice. I’m happy to send you some but if you email me at:appletonmob@gmail.com then I can send you a pic of the different colourways. They’re covers for chocolate oranges. Jan xx
It took me ages to try Temu but all the ladies at the Craft club kept saying how good it was and now I love it too. Your birthday present may be belated but well worth waiting for. You asked about Ai and art, I had a chat with hubby about it. He is seeing it more and more being used in schools as part of pupils art work at various stages and there is alot of discussion going on by the exam boards relating to it's use. He says that he's seen it used for research and art work itself. The next bit starts to sound a bit serious as some of the big Universities are now doing research programs on AI to study the impact on creative practices. Bet you wish you'd not asked about it now but it is interesting that they are taking it so seriously. Happy woyww, Angela x9x
That was an excellent birthday present and your jug looks beautiful. I hope it survives the kiln! I’ve ordered from Temu but found their constant promotions too much.
Happy WOYWW, hugs, Lynnecrafts 7 xx
I agree the Devotion drawings aren't that appealing but it's amazing what a little watercolours does, I always follow her devotional/painting videos on You Tube which helps enormously.
Super jugs painted and drawn and great study too. Love the Temu delivery especially the stencils. I keep mine in an old Ferrero Rocher long thin box so any greater than 6" wide won't fit and you got some big ones there. Hugs BJ#1
I know Temu are mega cheap but I hear such bad things about stolen designs. however, glad your gloves are helping keep your hands warm . you got a lot of great looking stencils, too. happy crafting! I look forward to seeing the fired jug!! Helen #2
