Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's Craftshed and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

ICAD and Junk Journal July are both finishing today, I have enjoyed both of them, but I think I enjoyed the Junk Journal more.   I didn’t enjoy the making of the journal, it seemed an awkward way of making one and I can’t believe I am saying this, but I am going to use the method again!

So here are my last 7 ICADs followed by my last Junk Journal July pages.

Top left "Tip In", then under the Tip In and the bottom Poetic and Buttons.

Top left Shine and Celebration.  Bottom right, Contrast.

I did some more stencilling and pulled off some pattern off on other paper.  My gold metallic paint had gone into an obnoxious looking mess.  I mixed it with gesso and used it on these-:

Normally I buy metallic paint from The Works, but they have stopped doing it for some reason. I couldn’t get any from The Range either. The last few trips to The Range have been disappointing, they seem to be cutting down on adult craft.

My it’s been a warm few days and today is meant to be warmer!  I hope you are all keeping cool!  Angela x

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's Craftshed and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

ICAD and Junk Journal July are still ongoing, but there are only 7 days left.   I have used up a lot of stuff that I have had for ages, so I am quite happy with that, but I have to say I still have a lot left 🤣.

I bought an A4 pad of stencil type pages.  I am not sure if they were intended to be actual stencils as they are only a thin card.  I had a go at using them to make some papers.  The one I liked least turned out to be the one that made the best pages.  The stencil at the bottom left.

It is our 48th Wedding Anniversary today!

See you later, Angela x

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's Craftshed and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

First of all ICADs there are 10 because I had got behind.

My Junk Journal July Challenge:

Scraps and Stamp

Packaging - I used some paper from a bread packet, cut out and decorated the leaves. The bottom strip is from a cake packet.

The prompt here was Window and Observe.  The Observe part is in the poem:

Unseen in the darkness, she observes the world go by.
Dates and time she writes down, her camera snapping as something catches her eye.
She knows that it's important, she just doesn't understand why.
So she sits, just out of sight, watching the world go by.

I changed the words slightly.

Petal

Weather and Homemade

                                                    Light

Book cover with fabric and Powertex followed by my box.

A lot of pictures today and I hope you don't feel overwhelmed, but just one more.  I was invited to join a craft session at the local church yesterday.  I had a lovely time and this is what I made:

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's Craftshed and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

I have had several more hours working with my niece, Michelle.  I finished my book cover and it looks wonderful!  I also finished my box and did another book cover.  I have to completely reorganize my craft room to accommodate my new treasures.  This is my box partly done:

Drum roll....My Pegasus:

I shall show the completed box and the second book cover next week otherwise this post may be too photo heavy!

I am still two behind on my ICADs, but here are the ones so far:

I have also been taking part in Junk Journal July, I am behind with that as well, but I shall catch up.  My journal has 42 pages (counting both sides) these are just one side:

The pages I have done so far:

We move tomorrow and our destination is Stafford. Our penultimate stop before heading home.

My son enjoyed a trip to a concert in the Netherlands, and came back with Covid 😟.  Thankfully he is feeling much better.

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

First up - ICADs.  I only managed 4 this past week.
I made a concertina journal.  Normally I just fold a long piece of card and decorate, but in this case, the structure was made a page at a time.  I did have difficulty keeping my pages straight, more so with thin paper added on to thick. I forgot to take a picture, so will add one next week.

We visited my sweet MIL Sunday and took her out to dinner for her 92nd birthday.  She had a wonderful time and got quite emotional, and I have been to my niece's three times, more below regarding those visits.

Our first project was a book cover, colour to go on next.

Our second project is a box.  Today we stencilled and put the base coat on.  I had a fabulous time and there are so many wonderful things on display in her studio, I was like a parrot for the first 5 minutes "Oh, I do like that!" "Oh, I do like that!".

I have some catching up to do tomorrow with both ICADs and Junk Journal July prompts.

Have a great week xx
