Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

ICADs again for me:

The one on the right was my problem one, looking completely different now.

I decided I wanted to do some quirky houses.  the far right one is probably nearest to what I was thinking, I don't think the size of the bases helped.

I saw these lovely kneelers in the church I went to Sunday.  It's the first time I have seen such fine tapestry work in kneelers.

It was also the first time I had seen two organists playing together at church.

We move on today and we are going to the site near my niece so I am looking forward to seeing her.

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to Sarah's and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

I have been enjoying doing my ICADs for another week.  There are some that come together smoothly and there are some which are a pain in the neck!  One I did today was a case in point. It went wrong from the start and I should have taken the crooked image off then, but I messed around, taking things off, putting things on and I am not sure if I am happy with it now.  You won't see that one till next week, that's if it isn't in the bin!

Still using stuff up, I bought a diecut pad with black and white photographs.  I added colour to the young and her basket.  The owls were from a photograph I took of an old matchbox.

We had a look at a felt and fabric exhibition:

I will be round to visit fellow WOYWW members later x

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to  Sarah's and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

I have been enjoying doing my ICAD cards.  I am still concentrating on using up stuff I have had for years.  These four have flowers from an age old kit and some Hunkydory butterflies, 6 x 6 papers and washi tape. The top right has a pocket.

The top left is blurry for some reason, so I put it below.

This next group uses up various pieces.  I started off with the idea of doing a bokeh background.  I had bought what I thought were paint pens, they were actually Uni chalk markers , 3 rather bright colours, red, yellow and blue.  I used a circle stencil and did two layers, yellow followed by red.  They really needed toning down so I used gesso.  Although I waited till the paint was dry it still smudged when I used the gesso.  I used a baby wipe to take some off and bring the colour back.  I found several pictures that had the right colours to go with backgrounds and complete the cards.

Sorry about the poor quality of the photographs.

We are off to Alkborough today, I shall be sitting in the back watching a Harry Potter film!    The weather continues to be cold, windy and rainy, a little bit more sunshine would be nice, but hey ho!

WOYWW 783.. ICAD

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday, a day when we link up to  Sarah's and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

We are not far from Richmond, North Yorkshire.  Sunday was a lovely day, but the wind and rain have been prevalent. Yesterday I bought a jumper in Richmond, I put in on this morning and my dear husband said "you will be too hot in that" and of course I was.  The sunshine is streaming in through the windows - outside it is a different matter.

ICAD started on 1st June - an Index Card a Day!  That means today I should be showing you  at least 4, but 3 will have to do.

Still using up old pieces, this was a set of flower cards, consisting of one large-ish image and  other pieces getting progressively smaller.  I kept the largest and used the other pieces up.  I may add a focal point at some time.

On the left are index cards that I have covered using up stuff again.  Some I may gesso over and some I may used the plain front, but they are sturdier now which I prefer.  I think I did 25 of those.  On the right are some from last year which I may gesso over or add to.

The Internet is absolute pants here!  It took me an hour after taking the photographs to upload them from my IPad and download to my Laptop.  By the way is anyone following the new Doctor Who?  What did you think?  It seems to me quite changed from previous series with David and Matt, and not for the better!
