Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday,  a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.  This week I have been doing both digital and also in my craft room.

I made some cat cards for the Cat Challenge only it didn't register in my brain that it was only Christmas themed!  I won an Inkylicious stamp set last year, so I stamped 12 cards and coloured a few in with Crafter's Companion glitter pens.  I am going to make tags with them.

Not known for actually finishing one thing before starting something new, I wanted to experiment with paint over stencil prints.  I downloaded several.  I only used a brayer for these.  The painted stencil is on the right, not that obvious what it is so I enhanced it digitally on the left and added a branch.

I am sure you recognize this person!

I made several sheets of dots and circle shapes and printed these out and added the paint with a brayer.  The two images on the right are from a photograph of Whitby Abbey found on Upsplash.   I got the idea for this from Angela's photograph of her visit to Whitby Abbey.  I converted the photograph to black and white and added paint (the dark blue one) and then I tweaked the colour digitally for the lighter one.

Finally the workdesk, so my next task is probably finishing the tags.

You can see my finished cards from last week here, and a cute fox here.

Gecko Galz Stamp Challenge

This month’s image for the Gecko Galz Stamp Challenge is a cute fox, surrounded by ferns.  I used a mixture of Hunkydory pens and some glitter brush pens from Crafter’s Companion.

After I had finished I took a photograph and put the image on a digital background.

 October challenge:

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday,  a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

It's been a busy week in our garden click on garden to see little video on Facebook.  I couldn't get it to upload.

Most of the work was obviously done by my husband, but I did hover a lot and make him drinks :)  It is so calming to sit and listen to the water.

I have been busy on the laptop.  I stamped and coloured in the images on the left, scanned them and did a little digital work on them.  The ones on the right are free images from Gecko Galz that also had some digital work.  The owl had background layers added, the deer originally had flowers on her head.

I have printed these out, but not finished them yet.  I printed each one on three different papers; a card for graphics, Navigator paper and HP paper to see which was better.  The first two were similar, but the HP was by far the best. I used the card copy to colour the images with some glitter pens, but things went slightly wrong!

I have been rather tired lately so not much happening in the craft room.  This coming week I have to get my cat challenge cards ready and my Gecko Galz entries finished.

Join in a one off challenge during October:

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday,  a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

I have made 6 more books/journals.  These are just the bare skeletons at the moment.  I think I am going to do one more (Christmas) before I go on to filling them.

I did the first assignment of the Find Your Joy course - except I got confused so it's a mix of Assignments 1 and 2.

I used a palette knife, a round lid and a cork, tools I had not used!  The paper on the left I used to take some of the white off.  I didn't have the energy to finish it yesterday,
but I did a digital layer over the top:
My mother in law went home today, she has had a very frustrating stay because she couldn't hear.  We took her to have her ears de waxed, but that didn't help.  So she is going to see if it is the hearing aid.

It's Wednesday!  Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday,  a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

This is what I have been up to:

The book/journal on the left is a stacked spine, not yet finished, the one on the right is structurally finished, but not decorated.  I have a stack of 12 x 12 paper and card.  I had a good look through, picked out ones for painting over and picked out some to work with.  So far for these two, I have used 4 document folders and 17 12 x 12 sheets card.  Don't ask what they are for because I had using up card, more in mind. I think they will take up less space on the shelf in book form!  For the one on the left I used Collall glue because I think it is strong enough and I wanted to use it up.  the one on the right I used red tape and when I ran out white tape.  They are both my own design.  I think it will be easier the second time I do them.

As we still have my mother in law staying, I have been spending less time in my craft room. I think I will make a few more journals, Halloween and Christmas definitely.

Have a great crafty week x
