A warm welcome to Crafting With Jack and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  What is on my workdesk?  Absolutely nothing!  We have moved on today and left behind my wonderful niece and her family.  Last week I spent a few days in her studio making my first Powertex mixed media piece.

I came home feeling very happy only to have the bubble burst because my husband doesn't like it!  My niece made the shells and anchor with her moulds. The seahorse on the right is rice paper.  The seahorse on the left and the large shell were stencilled.  I used several different fabrics and I shall now be on the hunt for more fabric pieces.  I really did enjoy the time with my niece.

I haven't made any more ICADs so I am a week behind, but I am sure I will catch up this week.  There have been several free taster sessions this past week and I have watched quite a few.

Linking up at Julia's Stamping Ground and looking forward to visiting x

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  The sun is shining as I type this, but we have had a lot of heavy rain today.  Considering the cracked ground the land needs it.    One consequence of rain is muddy dogs!  Dolly had to have a bath when she came back as she is nearer the ground than the others. ๐Ÿ™‚

So what have I been up to this past week!    I spent last Thursday with my niece in her studio.  I showed her a photograph of a tutorial on the taster sessions for Kaleidoscope and asked if she wanted to do something similar.  I had taken all my stuff with me including water soluble pencils, which I had not used before.  Normally I do the drawing on paper and transfer to the watercolour.  I was very pleased with the results.  We also decidedly to do a peacock which was on the taster sessions too.   I had downloaded several peacock photographs, then we did our own thing๐Ÿ˜Š.  Both paintings took several days.

Also I made some ICADs, I may have made a few more than shown, but I was enjoying myself.

Finally, before I link up to Julia's Stamping Ground, a few wedding photographs:

The Cheshire Cat  when he disappeared leaving his smile.

Michelle made the flowers.

Rosemary made this 50's style outfit and matching handbag.  The fabric has an Alice pattern.

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  Have you been enjoying the warm weather?  We have had two thunderstorms so far.  One we caught just the edge, the second was a real downpour, but I guess it was no where near enough for the land.  The lawn at home is a nice shade of brown!

Starting with my latest index cards:

Quite a mixture of designs.  I am tempted to do more of the ones I like, so you may similar ones next week.

A pre wedding photograph showing the wonderful designs all made by Michelle.

Here we are ready to go to a wonderful wedding with a beautiful bride and a delicious gluten free tea for me.  More wedding photographs next week.

Jumpers out, shorts away, it’s cold and windy!  What a difference a couple of 100 miles and a day makes!    We are now in  England’s smallest county, Rutland.  The biggest news is I have 2 bars, so I have Internet - yay me!๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—.   We left behind the red squirrels ๐Ÿฟ️ and the sheep๐Ÿ‘.  I saw three red squirrels in the three weeks we were there, of course it could have been the same one on three different days ๐Ÿคฃ.

ICAD is here, two months of completing an index card a day.  Last year I didn’t finish.  Apologies to the person who asked if anyone was doing ICAD this year, I meant to reply in the comments, but obviously by the time I got to the comments, the thought had left me๐Ÿ™„.

I bought a couple of books from the Works that had die cut pictures in, including the phrases above.  some of the phrases are a bit big so I have had to cut them down.  They also have a little guide how the card is meant to look if you want to follow it,  I thought they were good to use too.  I decided to do collage because then I can cover up the lines which always irritate me. Apparently you can get blank index cards, but I have a boxful at home so I need to use them up.  I have decided to add a white layer to some so I can do some drawing after seeing Kate Hadfield’s cards.  I am amazed at the different sizes index cards come in and also different thicknesses when I looked on Amazon.  I usually buy mine at W H Smith or which ever supermarket I happen to be in.

Linking up to Julia's Stamping Ground as it is Wednesday - which means "What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday".

One final thought.  Anybody know what this emoji means? ๐Ÿซก

It doesn't seem to show on my computer, but it is half a face with what looks like a dog ear!
