Day 31 of the 31 Days of Halloween

One of my first Halloween pictures,  "The General Store" was a freebie from The Outlawz progressive challenge a few years ago,  I added images behind the windows, added the notice, pumpkins and the witch at the front.   October has been a jam packed crafty month and I have enjoyed every minute.  Thank you Leigh for setting the challenge up and offering prizes.

Cat Lover's Hop and mini album

Today is the last day of the Cat Lover's Hop over at My Peaceful Garden, it has been a whirlwind of posting and commenting and getting distracted along the way :)  So this is another vintage image with cats having a wash, we all know what cats normally think of that, the one that is out of the water looks happy!

I mentioned getting distracted along the way, I was visiting Leslie and admiring her art and cards when another blog link caught my eye. So I headed over there and spotted a mini album challenge that finished in 11 hours.  Since I am completely crazy, I thought that was enough time!  The cover was a piece of card, embossed with a couple of Buff it polishes.  The pages were painted kraft card and I sewed the middle.  I took completed mixed media work that i had photographed.  Used parts to make 3 inches by 5 images, which I printed, matted on card, did a little
embellishing and trimmed with lace.

V for Vehicles

I made a birthday card, not sure if it's for my son or husband yet.   The theme at Ike's World Challenges is V for Vehicle, so I hope you can spot the wacky vehicles!

Day 30 0f 31 Days of Halloween and Cat Lover's Hop

I was determined to do something easy this afternoon after spending the morning in bed, instead I spent several hours designing this, but I was very happy with the result and I have printed it to go in my Halloween journal.  The Cat and Mouse was from Creative Fabrica, the Halloweens from and the Pumpkin in the window was part of a set from Papercrafter.  I am entering this in both The Cat Lover's Hop and LeighSBDesigns Halloween Hop and also Ike's Show us Your Pussies.

Cat Lover's Hop

The top one is the original painting, I used some tiny jars of paint that I have had ages, there are just four colours.  I may do more work on the original, but once I had it into the computer I did some playing in PSE.  I think my favourite is the third one.  This is the one I am entering into the Cat Lover's Hop at Her Peaceful Garden.

Day 29 of the 31 Halloween

The latest page in my Halloween folder.  Two days left to finish it before the end of October!

The Cat Lover's Hop

This post is being republished because of problems with Blogger.

This is the third day of the Cat Lover's Hop over at Her Peaceful Garden.  I decided to make a little book using vintage cat images.  I got several from Vintage Images on Facebook.    When I went over the first time to post there was a game of the day.  You had to write a poem. There were several options, I chose Haiku (I did have to Google the word!)  Haiku has three lines in a 5/7/5 syllable format.
This is my first Haiku poem:

A cat cries, darkness falls,
Owls hoot, wild creature scuttle,
The cat returns hungry.

Day 28 of the 31 Days of Halloween

Republishing this post because of problems on Blogger.

27th day of the 31 Days of Halloween

This is the third time I have written this post, published it and then it has disappeared!  How is that possible?

Trying again .....

It's time for What's On Your Workdesk and I am doing something a bit different this morning.  This is my first video and instead of showing you my actual desk today, I am showing me!!  Sat at my desk going through my Halloween folder which I have been working on this morning.  This is a first for me so If it doesn't work, please click on my Facebook page (button on the right) where it is working.

Now I am going to pop over to Julia's blog The Stamping Ground to link up and check everybody else's posts.

You might notice I am still wearing my lovely jumper.  So far it has had gravy tipped over it (my husbands fault -  A obviously! - for putting far too much on my plate.  Also a cup of tea which thankfully was not too hot, we were watching the TV when as I took a sip something scary happened and I slightly choked! So mu jumper has been washed twice since last week :)

Day 26 of the 31 Days of Halloween and Cat Lovers Hop

Today the Cat Lovers Hop starts at Her Peaceful Garden and this is my first cat image and also my post for LeighSBDesigns Hop.  This started off as a hand coloured image, to which I added a digital background.

Day 25 of the 31 Days of Halloween

I started a free Art course, I did the second session today and I was really disappointed how it turned out, however I altered one of the four pictures digitally, added a moon, some bats and a rhyme and Bingo!  back to being happy.  I was meant to be creating abstract art, but somehow it changed.  Oh well there is always next time!

This is my post for LeighSBdesigns Halloween hop.

Day 24 of the 31 Days Of Halloween

I just love this orangey colour for Halloween projects.  Of course Halloween is cancelled this year, much like everything else.  My grandchildren’s school had a Halloween day on Friday so they all could dress up.  Kathryn went as the Mad Hatter and Joshua was a pirate! We had a little photo op on their way home from school - in the garden of course!  We are now under a strict lockdown in an effort to curb Corvid numbers.  This is my post for LeighSBDesigns Halloween hop.

Day 23 of 31 Days of Halloween

This is a creepy ATC coin I designed last year after reading one of Edgar Allen Poe's short stories called The Gold Bug.  I am posting this today as part of LeighSBDesigns Halloween Hop.

Day 22 of the 31 Days of Halloween

Today's card has as it's focal point, an image free from Gecko Galz for the October challenge. So this card is being entered into that challenge and into LeighSBDesigns Halloween hop.
