WOYWW 745

Join in a one off challenge during October:

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday,  a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

I have made 6 more books/journals.  These are just the bare skeletons at the moment.  I think I am going to do one more (Christmas) before I go on to filling them.

I did the first assignment of the Find Your Joy course - except I got confused so it's a mix of Assignments 1 and 2.

I used a palette knife, a round lid and a cork, tools I had not used!  The paper on the left I used to take some of the white off.  I didn't have the energy to finish it yesterday,
but I did a digital layer over the top:
My mother in law went home today, she has had a very frustrating stay because she couldn't hear.  We took her to have her ears de waxed, but that didn't help.  So she is going to see if it is the hearing aid.

Your Find Your Joy first entry is wonderful. You did two lessons in one, which I think is brilliant. Stick with that story, Angela (grin). I also like your digital addition, too. Happy WOYWW from # 3 or 2.

Forgot to mention. So sorry to read about your MIL. I hope she is able to hear again once she gets to her ear doctor.

This course sounds great and what a brilliant result, can't wait to see how you use them next. I know the problem you've had with your mother-in-law as my mother has poor hearing but doesn't like wearing her hearing aid and believes she hears what people say, it's quite amusing at times but not all the time! Happy creative woyww, Angela x14x

I really love that background/distal project you’ve done, it’s brilliant! I do think it’s a bit early for the C word but then again, maybe not! Hope your MiL gets her hearing sorted out soon, it’s so frustrating for her.

What super backgrounds . . . love all the brightness.
Hope your MIL can get her hearing sorted out, PJ was slightly deaf (not that he would admit it!) and the TV used to blast out so much it hurt MY ears!!

Take care and have an enjoyable week

Super assignment(s) and love the digital addition too. The books look great, are they for anything in particular? Sorry not come across the term "Imprecatory Psalms" before but just googled it... Hugs BJ#1

I love the layering and colours in your project! Great start! My step-father is having the same problem as your MIL, but he refuses to get a hearing aid, so it makes life difficult for my mother who has to talk...very...slowly...He has dementia, so trying to convince him he should get a hearing aid is impossible. I hope you MIL gets her hearing sorted! have a great week, have fun finding your joy! Lindart #20

I'm very late calling round today but I'm not sorry because we have had a very special day making memories with little Louie...and no sewing was done at all.
I love your backgrounds...fab colours. Really hope you MIL's hearing soon improves.

Sorry to hear MIL had hearing problems that you couldn't help her with, hope she gets her aids sorted.
Glad you enjoyed your assignments, it's obvious you were learning if you combined bits from one to another. To end up making art you enjoyed and are happy with is the way to go.
Hugs, Neet 16 xx

Hi Angela,

The book came today. I tried to let you know through your e-mail on your blog, but it only buffered and just kept trying to send.

I normally photograph packages I get before I open them, but the envelope was torn, so I wanted to make sure the book was OK, which it was. The book was even more wonderful than I imagined. I hope to show it at WOYWW next week. Thank you in advance because this means SO very much to me, dear. Thank you again.

Virtual hugs,
E
