WOYWW 744

It's Wednesday!  Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What’s On Your Workdesk Wednesday,  a day when we link up to Julia's Stamping Ground and have a look to see what everyone has been doing.

This is what I have been up to:

The book/journal on the left is a stacked spine, not yet finished, the one on the right is structurally finished, but not decorated.  I have a stack of 12 x 12 paper and card.  I had a good look through, picked out ones for painting over and picked out some to work with.  So far for these two, I have used 4 document folders and 17 12 x 12 sheets card.  Don't ask what they are for because I had using up card, more in mind. I think they will take up less space on the shelf in book form!  For the one on the left I used Collall glue because I think it is strong enough and I wanted to use it up.  the one on the right I used red tape and when I ran out white tape.  They are both my own design.  I think it will be easier the second time I do them.

As we still have my mother in law staying, I have been spending less time in my craft room. I think I will make a few more journals, Halloween and Christmas definitely.

Have a great crafty week x

Those journals are going to be awesome once you finish and decorate them. I would LOVE to see you make a Halloween journal, so I could get some ideas. Enjoy your time with your MIL. I am sure you both are having a lovely time together. Happy WOYWW from # 5.

Good morning, Angela
I know you have life interruptus at the moment but am glad you are making time for yourself. Do you have a youtube channel? I'd love to see that 'stacked spine' process. Creative Blessings ! ~ Kelly #19

Well, if spending less time in your craft room results in these lovely journals then I say spend less! These are fabulous Angela, I love it when I see a handmade book with a wide spine.

Oh my goodness, got a bit involved with the end of the acrylics course and seem to have signed up for a watercolour one too (wed-fri) and what with the heat and not sleeping even worse that usual, I'm only just emerging form all the stuff and the dust is settling.

Loving the journals and a great way to use up your 12x12 sheets.

Wwll I’m full of admiration Angela. I wouldn’t get to my desk at all if I had any guest, o know you have your ‘a in law a lot and I expect you both like to have a break from her being a guest. I can’t think of a better way than a decompress at your desk! Those folders are amazing, more like clever fold books if you ask me. Like your choice of papers too, a great way to use up the ones that won’t otherwise work for you. Makes me feel that I should rifle through my collection a little more closely, I expect a good percentage of it has been passed over more than once when looking for actual scrapbook pages!

Hi Angela! Great idea for using up those 12 x 12s!! Like you I get focused on using up the stuff more than worrying about the end result but I think these are going to be wonderful. Sorry I'm so late, have a good week, love n hugs Cindy xx
