WOYWW 621, collage pages and digital

It's Wednesday, my don't the weeks fly by!  A warm welcome to Crafting With Jack and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday - except I have no workdesk to show this week.  Instead a chair where I have been doing collage and working on my laptop.  We have had some lovely days sitting in the garden, believe it or not my husband brought out a blanket as I said I was cold!

First up the collage pages, very similar to last week except using a ruler I took off all the edges and also cut the pages up.  i did all the pages in an A4 notebook.  The picture in the centre is the back of each page which I tea dyed just to give a little colour.

I did about 8-10 pages in an evening, tea dyed them the next day, left them to dry in the conservatory and then flattened them with weights.

I have also being doing some digital work editing vintage pieces.  I removed the middle section, I thought they might make nice text boxes for journals etc.

These are my collage pages which  I had some fun with on my laptop.

Not forgetting my chair in lieu of a desk!  I have my little blue bin one side and have various torn paper on both sides.

Finally one more digital piece, I removed the advertisement and added the text.  You are very welcome to this if you would like it.

Joining up with Julia's Stamping Ground as usual and off to peek at other WOYWW deskers.

Nice work. You are inspiring me to do some collage work. I’m amazed at your digital work. I wouldn’t have the first clue how to do that.

Oh some great photos, I love the top one with the variety of papers and it would make a great master board. Was trying for one for the Circle ATC's, but the space is so small I'll have to use a variety of strips. Have a great week.

I love old music sheets, they can be used for sooo many projects. I like your crafting chair too, why limit yourself to one room, I’ve spread out all over the house, lol!!

I just love all the old papers and music that you have. What a wealth of beautiful "types".
Your chair looks ever so comfortable and now I can imagine you sitting in it and crafting away with everything around you. Happy Days.

I have a basket with fleece blankets in that we use in the summer when we’re outside and just don’t want to go in. We’ve used them in the last week in the afternoons. Gorgeous sunshine but not terribly warm breezes! We were chased in by about 630 each day, just too cold. But...we’re getting there. I love your digi expertise that lets you just remove and add your own text in that casual fashion...for some of us that is a very unknown skill!

Angela, I am still loving your collage papers!! I love that you have them in their own little book and that you incorporated tea dying! I STILL haven't given that a go yet. By the time I do, it will be out of style! LOLOL Looks like you have a great handle on digital collaging as well. I wouldn't even know where to start with that as I am NOT computer savvy at ALL! LOL Happy Wednesday and blessings for the rest of your week! Felicia #27

I love your collage pages, Angela. I particularly like the muted subtle colour scheme. I'm a great fan of bright colours, but also of the neutrals which are very restful, and make such good backdrops for other colours. Your digital work is lovely, too. I've done a bit of this, too, and created all my pantry labels using this technique.

Thank you for your visit, which I'm glad you enjoyed. I am so enjoying making the kitty throw! It's one of the most fun projects I've ever made and I can't wait to give it to my hubby. Hopefully it will be finished in time for his birthday in mid-May - it was supposed to be for Christmas haha! I adore ginger cake - when doing the piece about ginger, I forgot all about cake! The crystallised ginger is pretty sticky and will clump together but you can toss the pieces in a bit of flour to prevent that.

Happy WOYWW,

I am loving your collage papers, and that chair looks like one hugely comfortable place to craft! Thanks for your visit to mine - regarding the shells, I buy the big clam and oyster ones from Ebay and the other little ones I have had in a large jar in my bathroom for over 20 years so I just dip in when I need to! I haven't yet painted them white yet but I shall use acrylic to cover the darker patches and I might try Gesso then see which is easier to glue the napkins to.
I hope you have a great week,

HI Angela, I love those collage pages you've made and you're very clever to do all the digi stuff with them, I wouldn't have a clue how to do that. And that is a crafter's dream of an armchair! Have a great BH weekend. Annie C #21
