WOYWW 619 & journal challenge

Welcome to Crafting With Jack  and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  This past week I have been busy creating, but not finishing anything.  I have been using up decopatch papers and paper napkins over music pages, crating pages for a journal.  I have also started a journal challenge for "Dear Julie Julie",  Part of the challenge is to create neutral clusters for embellishing later, it felt a bit weird only partly creating them and it felt awkward not having a plan in mind.  The photograph below is of some of the many pages this week.  Successfully using up glue and papers.

I spent a lot of time yesterday tidying and rearranging my shelves.  My son gave me another Christmas tree shelf to put my little ornaments on.  My horses were hidden before, now dusted and looking great!  It's still a little crammed -  I wonder how long before I add more to it!

This is my desk as of last night, I did the little collages watching TV. Total mess as I sorted out and found new homes for stuff that had been on the shelves.

Finishing with a funny picture my daughter shared with me.  Wishing all you lovely deskers a great week, whether you are taking part or not!  I am off to link this up at Julia's Stamping Ground.

I love those paper collages, especially the ones with the hearts.

I actually find that just playing with paper without a plan can be very enlightening as I think of things that I wouldn't have planned to do. They look brilliant and should prove very useful. Have a very happy and creative woyww. Hugs, Angela x17x

Loving those neutral vintage elements and papers! So easy on the eyes - I just want to keep looking at them! Your shelves look tidy indeed - The Christmas tree self looks lovely, though I'm thinking if it was a square-shape, there would be more space on it - it looks better this way though! Happy Wednesday, Angela! xx zsuzsa #24

I was telling my daughter about your pipe storage today and I'll be sure to show her your tree arrangement too - she might be inspired to put things on shelves instead of the floor! Can you buy single napkins anywhere? Or do you just have to get a pack and pass them on? Stay safe and keep smiling, Lisa-Jane #8

Still chuckling at the Zoom meeting - I bet that has been the case so many times! I called to see my niece and was greeted by her hubby at the door in a smart shirt and jumper with his pj bottoms! xx Jo

Hi Angela! I LOVE the clusters, but I know just what you mean by making things with no project in mind. But they are very handy to have when that project pops up! Also love the beautiful music sheets. You will be all ready when you start the next journal! Lovely collections, but I wouldn't want to dust it all! Your horses remind me of when I was about 11, I had a collection similar to yours. And I love the giant hare!
Have a great week, Lindart #30

Ah, the Zoom thing is so true, I love the subject chosen to illustrate! Love the sight of your shelves and desk, so much to look at. Lovely to see your horse collection, these shelves certainly show some of your loves! Am really liking the unfocused clusters, I bet you’ll end up etching for one more often than you think.I use up scrapbook ephemera and make up vague clusters with them, then file them in a folio that Kelly made me make. Some I do end up using on scrapbook pages, (the house cluster on my green rainbow page ina post last week for example), most end up on a card front eventually. It makes me feel as if I might actually be exercising some control! Love the prints on the text and music pages, great idea and lovely subjects. Also love the turquoise and silver bracelet [?] that’s on the side of your box of sprays. One of my most favourite jewellery combos. My Literary Listography is a journal in which to record books read. It was a Christmas gift and I’m trying to keep it at hand to add some erm, ‘art’ to it when I record a finished read.

I love those collages at the beginning of this post. Where on earth did you get such gorgeous papers in all those matching hues? They work so well with one another and I love how you have arranged them.
I hope you did not have as much dust as I had in your room.
Thanks for the funny funny.

Hugs, Neet 4 xx

Your collage pages and paper embellishments are beautiful, Angela. I love the muted colour scheme. Lovely to make a stash of them that you can use later when you want. I love the funny at the end, too!!

Thank you for your visit - amazing how convincing those scammers can be, isn't it. The particular one you describe, I think they take advantage of the fact that so many of us are ordering stuff online and they take a chance that you've ordered something and are awaiting delivery. However, most companies would never charge a fee for re-delivery - they just leave a card saying they'll try again or details of where you can collect it. You do have to keep an eagle eye these days, though, don't you.

I'm glad I decided to redo the heart square. I was never happy with the apple-heart and it's much better now. Lily's foot is fine - it was just all tucked up and folded back and looked so funny that I had to grab a photo of it!

Very sorry to hear you've been having headaches lately. Might be worth consulting a doctor if they persist.

Happy belated WOYWW,

Happy Belated WOYWW. I loved looking at your fantastic shelves. I have a small collection of horse models. It is shocking the bad attitude and ignorance of many doctors, about Fibromyalgia and ME, but also I see it with Menopause now. I am just starting an online programme for treating chronic pain with meditation and movement. This feels more positive than any treatment I have tried in the past. Ali x. #22. Btw - I did get over my COVID jab within a couple of days.

ooh loving the neutral clusters of embellished papers, cant imaging that is easy but looks really effective.

Running a bit late this week but just about made it and thanks for visiting my desk already and I recommend the dandelion honey as not bitter like the leaves or root are!
