WOYWW 618 & Embellishments for journals

Welcome to Crafting With Jack and What's On Your Workdesk Wednesday.  We have been having snow!  After sitting out in the sunshine Sunday, suddenly we have cold winds and snow.   I shall be linking this post up at Julia's Stamping Ground and then looking in on all the other lovely deskers.

This past week I have been working towards some embellishments and journal pages.  This is a close up of the embellishments and below my craft room.

Another piled high desk as I pulled out different items for perusal.  Looking for stuff to use up, I made a page from strips and several pages with decopatch papers.  The orientation of the butterfly paper meant I added a strip down the middle and then ripped the paper more or less, down the middle, avoiding ripping in half any butterflies.  The orientation of the other piece was landscape, so it went straight across.  I have several packs of these decopatch papers and I think they make nice backgrounds.  I used some book pages so the text shows through although you probably can't see it in the photograph.

I printed a page of little verses and some numbers.

My niece had a baby girl, Analia, weighing 8 lb 4 oz.  Analia is a name of Spanish/Italian origin and means grace. The baby's father is Italian.  I am looking forward to visiting once we are allowed.

Thank you for visiting and have a great week x

Morning Angela. What a beautiful name. One of my grandies is called Emma Grace - and really lives up to her name! You have been busy with all your little pieces - well done. A great way to use up what is in your stash. We had flurries of snow yesterday-but nothing like other areas - guess we are just too near the sea... 400 yards max!!!
Take care. God bless.

Congrats on the grandniece or great niece, and a lovely name! Loving the embellishments and the papers. Your desk still look very busy and with lots of places to hide and lose things! I usually look for the stag in the window. Alls well, if he's still there! Have a great week Stay safe, Happy WOYWW ((Lyn))#13

Congratulations on your great niece. Amalia is an exquisite name.

Your embellishments are lovely. Isn’t it relaxing to make a little batch of pretties for future use? I haven’t done that in a while. I should give it a whirl.

Hugs & smiles,
Teresa

Happy WOYWW. Congratulations on the new addition to your family. We had 2 of our grandchildren visiting last week - just for lunch, afternoon and then fish&chips for tea. Their first time here since Christmas 2019. They played with all the toys like they had never seen them before! Good idea to make up embellies using up scraps. Ali x #23

Hi again Angela. I have so far had 3 requests for that jigsaw. I think the best way is for it to be passed down in the order they came in on my "replies". You are number 3. I will put a list in with the puzzle - so it will come to you - not sure how long the other two will take to do it and send it on... Thanks.

Aw, a warm welcome to beautiful Analia, how lovely. Glad all is well. Loving the sight of your desk, I only make embellishments from what is to hand, in an effort to use up scraps and bits from my ephemera folios that I pass over in scrapbooking. Seeing your desk makes me realise that I could use up a lot of other stuff if I got my act together! the embellies you’ve made are lovely...now you need a box top put those in too!

Looks like we have both been having a sort out of stash - though mine was a table and ironing board piled high with yarn for twiddlers - note to self - DO NOT BUY YARN! I love those pretty papers you are using. Isn't Analia a lovely name. xx Jo

Thank you for your return visit, Angela, and I'm glad you enjoyed my carrot shark! I can't resist wonky veg! There's a tiny bit of Easter egg left which I shall probably finish tomorrow. I agree, the kitties are going to commandeer the cat throw once it's finished. I've been steaming ahead with sewing the embellishments onto the squares. This is a really fun part of the project.
